CCR#2!!
Some of my thoughts and ideas:
-The CCR #2 is also a very important aspect to the Portfolio Project as we need 4 of them. I recently, this past week, did a blog about the #1 which was very detailed on what the questions were and how I will answer them in the actual video. I was thinking of merging the CCR#1 and CCR#2 together so I can do only 2 videos instead of 4 of them.
Research on directed commentary:
-As I will do directed commentary, I wanted to let you guys know a bit more about what it is. Directed commentary is when a film’s director, in this case I would be providing insight about the film opening, how scenes were made, why we did what we did, and what we intended the audience to notice.
What the CCR#2 is asking:
-How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?
Since I am merging the CCR #1 and the CCR#2, I will definetly have to answer all the questions for both the CCR's. I am aiming to make this CCR #2 about 2 minutes so that the CCR #1 can occupy a bit more time as it is a bit longer.
Script:
-As you watch our project , you can see how it was done to connect with viewers who spend most of their time online. The pacing, the visual choices, and the short structure all match the way people interact with media to this day. Because of that, the best release method is digital distribution. Putting the film on a streaming platform gives the audience immediate access, letting them discover it naturally without needing a huge marketing budget.
Once the film is out there, the engagement grows through the way people share and interact to content online. Short clips, intense moments, and insights of the process are what would do us well to social platforms, where viewers often decide what to watch based on what appears in their feed. These small pieces of the project act as entry points, engaging people toward the film without needing a big campaign.
The story’s tone or mood also encourages discussion. The mystery, the tension, and the unanswered details invite viewers to talk about what they think is happening, which can help the project spread through conversation. That kind of audience involvement becomes part of the distribution itself. People aren’t just watching the film, they are participating in how it flows.
So the distribution strategy is built around the access to insights and such, as well as the fan interactions as I mentioned. Streaming provides the foundation, social platforms expand the popularity, and audience curiosity keeps the project alive. The film grows through the way viewers respond to it, making fan engagement one of the most important parts of our distribution process.
That is all for today's blog. Tomorrow will be about the second video for CCR #3 and CCR#4.
Bye!
